New Delhi: The Modi government at the Centre has announced a cut in the interest rate on Employees' Provident Fund Deposits (PF Interest) for 2021-22. Now you will get a return on PF at an interest rate of only 8.1 per cent. Yesterday, the Union Finance Ministry has given information in this regard. Let me tell you that last year, the rate was 8.5 percent. This is the lowest rate of interest deposited by employees in their retirement funds since 1977-78. The rate of interest on employees' provident fund that year was 8 per cent.
