Ahmedabad: Political parties are engaged in setting their own maths regarding the Gujarat Assembly elections. For the first time in the state, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is preparing to enter the electoral fray with full vigor. After the tribal community of Gujarat, now AAP's national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is going to rally to address the Patidars of Saurashtra. Kejriwal, who arrived on a one-day tour on Wednesday, will address a public meeting in Rajkot.

In Gujarat, AAP has now completely entered the election mode. AAP supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has visited Gujarat thrice in the last one month, while this is his second visit to Gujarat in ten days. Kejriwal is on a visit to Rajkot in Patidar belt Saurashtra and will also address a public meeting at Shastri Maidan. This visit of Kejriwal is being seen as an attempt to attract Patidars to Saurashtra.

Let us tell you that out of the total 182 seats in Gujarat, 54 seats are in the Saurashtra region. In these 54 seats of Saurashtra, in the 2017 elections, the BJP faced a tremendous challenge from the Congress. The Congress had won 55 per cent seats in Saurashtra due to the Patidar agitation, while the BJP had won 33 per cent. In this way, Congress had won 30 out of 54 seats, while BJP got 23 seats.
