New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will kick off the party's campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on January 2 at a rally in Lucknow, according to party spokesperson Sanjay Singh.
According to him, the event will generate an environment conducive to political debate on key topics such as jobs. Kejriwal's event was originally scheduled for November 28 but was postponed due to speculation about a pre-election pact between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Samajwadi Party.
Kejriwal will address a large rally in Lucknow on January 2 to kick off the AAP's campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, according to Singh.
“Kejriwal will make crucial announcements for the 34 lakh registered unemployed persons in the state at this rally," he said. If the AAP is elected to power in Uttar Pradesh, Singh claims that the 34 lakh unemployed persons registered with the state employment exchange will receive Rs 5,000 per month. "This will cost Rs 20,400 crore each year, and extracting that amount from a budget of Rs 550 lakh crore is not a difficult feat. Only the AAP can make this ambition a reality "he said.
