New Delhi:Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Delhi Chief Minister, will present a motion of confidence in the Delhi Assembly on Monday to demonstrate that no party MLA has left. The extraordinary session of the Delhi Assembly has been extended by one day for this reason.

This is in light of allegations that the BJP was attempting to overthrow the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led administration in the nation's capital.

On Friday, Kejriwal said in a speech to the Delhi Legislative Assembly that the confidence motion would be presented to demonstrate to the public that "Operation Lotus" has changed to "Operation keechad" in the capital.

"It  is being said that,  they separated a number of MLAs. I got calls from people who wanted to know if everything was okay. I want to introduce a motion of confidence in the House to demonstrate to the public that not a single issue was forgotten and that the BJP's Operation Lotus in this country evolved into "Operation Keechad."

Kejriwal had launched a harsh criticism of the BJP, alleging that the party had paid his legislators Rs 20 crore each in exchange for switching sides. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has allegedly bought 277 MLAs nationwide so far.

"We calculated that 277 MLAs joined the BJP; thus, if they had offered each MLA Rs 20 crore, they would have purchased MLAs worth Rs 5,500 crore. Because they are utilising all the money to pay for MLAs at the expense of the average person, which is why there is inflation "he said. He further said that the Gujarat assembly elections, which are later this year, are related to the recent raids on AAP leaders by investigative agencies.

"Although the AAP government in Delhi is the most well-liked, all anti-national elements have united against it. These forces want to topple us, but all of our MLAs are gathered in one place. Up till the Gujarat elections, they would concoct bogus charges against us "Kejriwal said.
