New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal emphasized the necessity of free education and healthcare for all to establish an ideal society resembling 'Ram Rajya.' Speaking at an event in New Delhi on Saturday, he underscored the importance of accessible quality education and healthcare services and highlighted the efforts of the AAP-led Delhi government in this regard.

During the event, Chief Minister Kejriwal inaugurated a new Outpatient Department (OPD) facility at the government-run Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, where he also interacted with patients.

Healthcare and education have become the primary focus areas for the Delhi government, with significant expansion efforts currently underway. Chief Minister Kejriwal stated that the city government-run hospitals collectively offer around 10,000 beds. Furthermore, the government is actively constructing eleven new hospitals and upgrading existing facilities, resulting in an additional 16,000 beds.

In reference to the upcoming Dusshera and Diwali festivals, Chief Minister Kejriwal remarked, "We worship Lord Ram." He added, "While achieving a society akin to 'Ram Rajya' may be an ambitious goal, it should undoubtedly encompass quality, free education and healthcare services for all."

He further emphasized that access to good education and healthcare should be universal, irrespective of one's economic background. Chief Minister Kejriwal affirmed, "Our government is committed to working in this direction."

The event also saw the presence of Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and senior officials from the health department.
