New Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference on Sunday over the Centre banning the Delhi government's 'door-to-door ration scheme' amid the corona crisis. He said that all preparations were made to implement the scheme, so why did you ban it two days ago? Kejriwal said that you rejected our plan saying that we had not taken permission from the Centre. But we had taken permission from the Centre 5 times for this scheme.

Chief Minister Kejriwal said, the door-to-door ration scheme was to be launched from next week. All preparations were in place, but why did you suddenly stop two days ago? Prime Minister, 'Today, I am very distressed. Forgive me if i make a mistake today. Prime Minister, Sir, the State Government is competent for this scheme and we do not want any dispute with the Centre. We named it the Chief Minister's Door-to-Door Ration Scheme. You then said that the Chief Minister's name cannot figure in the scheme. We obeyed you and removed the name. You have now rejected our scheme saying that we did not take permission from the Centre. We took permission from the Central Government 5 times for this scheme'.

He further said, "If smartphones, pizzas can be delivered in this country, why not rations?" What sympathy do you have with the ration mafia, PM sir? Who will listen to those poor? If the Centre did not object to our scheme in the court, why is it being rejected now? Many poor people have lost their jobs. People don't want to go out so we want to send rations from house to house. Central Government officials are saying that this ration belongs to the Centre, so why should Delhi take credit? I am not taking credit, please apply. I would tell the world that Modiji implemented the scheme".
