Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has reported 11 new cases of corona infection last Friday. The number of active cases has now gone up to 121. Let me tell all of you that the State ranks 30th in the country in terms of corona infection. The corona positivity rate in the state is 0.01 percent and about 70,000 tests are being conducted daily in the state. Amidst all this, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been alerted and expressed concern over the rapidly rising figures in Kerala and Maharashtra.
During the recent Corona Review Meeting, he said, "The second wave of the corona has been controlled in the state, but the possibility of a third wave is yet to end. A large number of corona cases are still coming up in the States of Kerala and Maharashtra. Therefore, be careful and cautious and make third-wave preparations with utmost urgency. There should not be any negligence in the work. Corona vaccination should be carried out at a fast pace in the state. MP is getting an adequate number of vaccines from the Centre and will continue to receive them. MP ranks 4th in the country in corona vaccination.''
He further directed that all collectors of MP should ensure timely provision of bed extension, setting up of oxygen plants, ICU wards, CT scan other check-ups, provision of essential medicines, specialist doctors, paramedical staff, technicians etc.
During the review meeting, it was found that vaccination work in Panna, Sidhi, and Alirajpur districts is comparatively slow. Instructions were issued to speed up vaccination in all these districts. At the same time, it has been said that people should be made aware of vaccination. In the same meeting, the Chief Minister also directed that separate arrangements should be made at immunization centers for other doses of corona vaccine and to continue special arrangements for immunization of pregnant women.
