The minister said that the central government has given a clear protocol to control the spread of Nipah virus and is being complied with by the governments of Kerala and Goa. Earlier in the Modi government, health minister Harsh Vardhan said on Sunday that a case of Nipah from Ernakulam district of Kerala had surfaced on June 3 and the condition of the infected college student is improving. He has also said that no new cases of infection with Nipah virus have come to light in Kerala.
