Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Revenue Department plans to establish a National Housing Park to display housing models priced between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. Revenue Minister K.Rajan told reporters on Thursday that the department will be fully democratised and equipped to handle citizen complaints.

It is the first project of its kind in India, according to the Kerala government. The exhibition will be built on a six-acre plot of land and will serve as a tourism attraction.

"For the first time in India, the Kerala Revenue Department intends to implement a National Housing Park. On six acres of land, the project will put up an extensive exhibition of houses built for Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, which will be converted into a tourism hub "Kerala's government sent out a tweet on Friday.

The display will take up six acres of land and might be turned into a tourist destination, while describing a package of 200 projects that will be implemented as part of the LDF Government's 100-day plan.

In two years, all of the department's offices will be connected to the e-office network, and pattaya melas will be held in all districts to distribute title deeds. By the end of the year, the government would have hired 1,500 surveyors and 200 assistance for a village-level digital survey, and one lakh job opportunities would have been established.
