New Delhi: After the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, the situation there deteriorated so much that the remaining families of Hindus and Sikhs also migrated from the country and took refuge in India. Members of the Sikh community, who were brought to Delhi from Afghanistan, say that they are grateful to the government for bringing them safely here by the Indian government. At the same time, he also expressed his opinion on the Khalistani agenda going on due to Pakistani conspiracy in many countries of the world. Let us know that in countries like Britain, Canada, America, Australia, there have been many incidents of attacks on temples in the past. Derogatory things were also written on the walls of the temples about Bharat Mata and the Indian PM. Even in Britain, the Indian Embassy was attacked and fundamentalists insulted the tricolor. Now the reaction of the Sikh brothers who came to India fed up with Taliban persecution on this issue matters a lot.
According to the report, the Sikh brothers from Afghanistan said that 'we have nothing to do with Khalistan, the help given by the Indian government, the people who were stuck with us in Afghanistan, brought them here to India.' The biggest thing in front of which we bow down is that we have come to India with Sri Guru Granth Sahib. We have brought honour, so for us it is all Khalsa. Our Khalsa, where there is a mark, there is a Khalsa. In fact, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached Guru Arjun Dev Gurudwara in Mahavir Nagar in West Delhi on Thursday (June 8) to meet these Sikh refugees. During this, Foreign Minister Jaishankar said that the Indian government is concerned about the future of Sikhs coming from Afghanistan. The Government is continuously working for their safety and their interests. He also promised to take care of their concerns about the citizenship status of Sikh refugees, passports and schooling of their children. "I wanted to hear their concerns," Jaishankar told the press after meeting the refugees. He explained his problems - some people want to go back to Afghanistan because they have property there. They are also worried about the gurudwaras there.
"I felt that they have reasonable grounds to be allowed to go to Afghanistan and come back and they should be allowed multiple or double, triple entry visas. Another problem is how to pursue their citizenship case, because some people are waiting for it. Jaishankar further said that he also found some Sikh refugees who took Indian citizenship because of their children, but later faced problems. "This should not happen. The external affairs minister said there is a 'good basis' for granting multiple entry visas to those who want to return to Afghanistan to look after their properties and gurdwaras. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Afghan Sikh refugees in west Delhi as part of the BJP's outreach campaign to mark the completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi-led central government."
