Famous Bhojpuri film actor Khesari Lal Yadav rules the hearts of fans today. Khesari has achieved this special position on his own. Khesari may be a shining star today, but it was not easy for the actor to achieve this success at all. Khesari has got this position after facing many problems when he has never been able to go to barats and also once he use to sale litti chokha. Khesari Lal Yadav has also made a lot of splash in the Bhojpuri film industry with his singing. It is said that Khesari used to graze buffaloes in Siwan district before entering the Bhojpuri film industry. According to a friend of Khesari, he was 14 years old when he used to graze his buffalo. Then he used to sing a lot of songs.

Khesari Lal Yadav's childhood was spent in distress and his father used to sell chana and had barely managed the household expenses with his earnings. Khesari Lal Yadav used to sell milk in Chhapra district of Bihar during the initial days due to poor condition of the house. Not only that, there was a time when the actor also had to perform the popular Launda dance of Bihar (a boy who dances in a women's poseak) for money. He used to dance launda at weddings etc. He had to go to jail when Khesari's career was being set. In fact, when tennis player Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, Khesari Lal Yadav made a song on her. Due to which Sania had filed a defamation case against him. Khesari had to stay in Tihar jail in Delhi for three days due to Sania's complaint.
