On Tuesday, the Kia Carens was officially introduced in India at an initial price of Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex showroom). The Carens' top-of-the-line model is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex showroom). Carens is Kia India's fourth product since its launch in India in 2019, following the Seltos, Carnival, and Sonet variants.

Carens is a product made specifically for India and is produced in the company's Anantpur factory. The three-row crossover between an MPV and an SUV, dubbed a recreational vehicle by Kia, will be exported from India at a later date.

Carens comes with three engine choices from Kia. A 1.5-litre normally aspirated gasoline engine, a 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine are also available. The petrol engine in the Carens, according to Kia, can produce up to 16.5 kmpl, while the diesel engine returns roughly 21.3 kmpl per litre of gasoline. Carens appears to be a little more compact than Alcazar, but the stats favour the Kia. Carens has a length of 4,540 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,708 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. The Kia Carens is offset by the fact that it comes standard with six airbags in all compact sedans.

Vehicle Stability Management, Rear Parking Sensors, and Downhill Braking Control are among the vehicle's additional safety features. Brake Assist, All-Wheel Disc Brakes The 10.25-inch HD touchscreen display, digital driver display, 64-color ambient lighting, Bose sound system, air purification system, ventilated front seats, and sunroof are among the many convenience and connectivity features included within the Carens.

Passengers in the second and third rows will find plenty of room in this car. The second-row seats include a one-touch tumble down mechanism that allows for simple access to the final row space. Kia offers the Carens in both six and seven-seat versions.
