Kieron Pollard became the second player in T20s history to reach the 11,000-run milestone. Kieron Pollard of the West Indies became only the second hitter in T20 history to reach the 11,000-run mark. In a Caribbean Premier League group game against the Saint Lucia Kings, he surpassed the milestone with a 41-run innings for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Pollard is a second fellow after Chris Gayle, a fellow West Indian to do the same. So far, the ruthless opening batsman has notched up 14,108 runs in the shortest format. In the overall rankings, Pakistan's Shoaib Malik is third, and Australia's David Warner is fourth.The Windies all-rounder, who also captains the national team in the limited-overs formats, has played 554 T20s so far. He has 11,008 runs and 297 wickets to his credit, making him one of the best all-rounders in T20 history.

Pollard plays a crucial part in Mumbai Indians. He is the only other player in the tournament who has only played for one franchise, except Virat Kohli. So far in the IPL, the West Indian has appeared in 171 games, accumulating 3,191 runs with a strike rate of 150.87. In addition, he has 63 wickets to his credit. In the 2020 season, Pollard was a member of the winning Mumbai Indians team, smashing the ball at a strike rate of 191. Tribnago Knight Riders are presently in third place in the CPL 2021, with four points in as many games. Two games have been won by the Riders.
