Today is the birthday of former India wicketkeeper-batsman and later selector of the Indian cricket team Kiran More. Kiran More did not make that much impression in international cricket. Born in Vadodara, Gujarat, Kiran More started his cricket career with the first category in 1980. After a long time in domestic cricket, More started his international innings in the ODI series against England in December 1984. However, he could not continue to participate in the ODI team.

Kiran More, a member of the World Cup team in 1992, started his international Test career against England in 1986. More had set a record by taking 16 catches in the series against England. The most memorable moment of Kiran More's career has been the 1992 World Cup. In a Match between India and Pakistan at the time of the World Cup, Pak batsman Javed Miandad grabbed the bat with both hands and started bouncing in front of wicketkeeper Kiran More at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

However, Kiran More has not contributed much to international cricket. He did not score a single century in Tests and ODIs. He could not score a half-century in ODI cricket. His highest score in the ODI cricket was 42. However, he scored more than 5,200 runs in 151 first-class matches, scoring more than 6 centuries and his highest score was more than 180.
