HYDERABAD: The Union tourism minister G. Kishan Reddy on Wednesday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for making offensive comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, alleging that the Chief Minister, his family members, and other ministers devised a plot to malign the BJP after the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) was defeated by the BJP in the Huzurabad byelections.

Chandrashekar Rao attacked the leader who drafted the Indian Constitution for failing to keep his pledge to erect a large statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Hyderabad.

"The Chief Minister attempted to deflect attention by inventing bogus and fictitious difficulties in the state." He promised to provide each Dalit household three acres of land, to establish a Dalit Bandhu, to establish a Nirudyoga Bruthi, and to appoint a Dalit as Chief Minister. All of the Chief Minister's promises have gone unfulfilled, according to Kishan Reddy.

"The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Jobs Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) has been allocated Rs 73,000 crore by the central government to provide employment in the country. MGNREGS funds were increased to Rs 93,000 crore in the most recent Budget. The Chief Minister said falsely that MGNREGS funds had been cut. The finances for the scheme have been boosted by 33% in the current budget compared to the budget for 2021-22," the Union minister stated.
