Prabhas will portray the character of Bhairav, an award-winning hunter, in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Amitabh Bachchan will appear as Ashwatthama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, and Deepika Padukone as Sumati alias SYM-80. Disha Patani will be seen in the role of Roxy. The film also features Shobhana, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Pasupathy, Anna Ben, Harshit Malgireddy, and Keerthy Suresh in various roles.

'Kalki 2898 AD' is reportedly made with a hefty budget of ₹600 crore ($72 million), making it one of the most expensive Indian films. The music is composed by Santosh Narayanan, cinematography by George Stojiljkovic, production design by Nitin Zihani Choudhary, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Advance booking for 'Kalki 2898 AD' directed by Nag Ashwin has not yet begun but is expected to commence soon. The film has already set records in the US by earning $1 million in pre-sales, making it the highest-grossing premiere for a Telugu film and securing the second-highest number of screenings for any Telugu film in the country. In Australia, the film has sold over 5000 tickets on its opening day, earning approximately A$150,199 (₹83 lakh) and selling more than 3300 tickets in 2D format and over 1000 tickets in the IMAX version.
