Patna: Every day lakhs of people are traveling by train in India. In the Covid period, the operation of trains is even more. This is having a huge impact on the traffic. After some reduction in the speed of corona infection, the operation of passenger trains has been started with restrictions. Meanwhile, changes were made in some provisions related to reservation of tickets in trains. After the rapid control of the corona infection, Indian Railways has also made services almost normal. Along with this, some changes have been made afresh in the provisions related to ticket reservation. However, this provision will not apply to all trains. It is a matter of relief for the travelers of Bihar and Jharkhand. Now while reserving tickets in some trains of these two states, the obligation of giving full address can be abolished.
Where it has been learned that limited operation of trains has started between the Corona period. During this, it has been made mandatory to make reservation for the general bogie of trains. Along with this, it has been made mandatory to enter the complete address along with the post office and pin code of the origin and destination in the ticket reservation form. This arrangement was made for all trains. Now some relief has also been given in this rule. In some trains of Bihar and Jharkhand, the full address will not have to be given between booking tickets. This relief is not for all trains.
New rules apply from today: It is necessary to remember district, post office and pin code to travel by train. Without remembering these you will not be able to book tickets. This information has also been made mandatory from the reservation counter of the railways to online ticket booking, but from December 20, in some trains going from Jharkhand to Bihar, the requirement of post office, district or pin code will be abolished. Railways has given permission to travel on general tickets in 9 trains of Jharkhand-Bihar from December 20. This means that now reservation will not have to be made to travel by normal coach. Indian Railways has given another relief that now tickets will be available from the counter till 5 minutes in advance.
