New Delhi: Yogi government which is being criticized over Hatharas case is engaged in action. Earlier, CM Yogi had also wrote in a tweet that the complete destruction of criminals is sure and such a punishment will be obtained which will become an example. According to some media reports, to know the truth, the UP government is preparing to conduct a polygraph of the victim side, ie, Lie Detector or Narco Test, along with the accused in this case, due to which the aggrieved party has been continuously denying it. In such a situation, let's understand what a polygraph or narco test is.

Actually, polygraph, narco and brain mapping tests are a technique to detect lies. In India, in May 2010, the Supreme Court held these investigations illegal. However, the court has allowed these investigations in criminal cases with the consent of the persons concerned.

Polygraph Test: -
It is a technique to catch lies, in which the person concerned is questioned and when he answers, several graphs are formed on the screen of a particular machine. The graph moves up and down according to changes in the person's breath, heart rate, and blood pressure. Is someone lying or saying truth? The answer lies in the same graph. If the graph suddenly shows unusual changes, then it means that the person is lying. In the beginning of this test, very common questions are asked, such as name, father's name, age, address and family related information. Then suddenly the question of the related crime is done. Suddenly, if the person has a beating, breath or BP on the question related to the crime and the graph changes. If there is a change in the graph, it means that he is lying and if the change is not seen then he is saying it right. Speaking in easy language, it takes a decision by assessing the fear arising within the person while lying.

Narco Test: -
It is also a technique to catch lies. In this, some medicines or injections are given to the person concerned. Usually a psychoactive drug called Truth Drug is given or an injection of sodium pantothol is given. With the effect of this medicine, the person goes into a state of semi-illusion, that is, he is neither fully conscious nor completely unconscious. In this situation, he answers all the questions correctly because he fails to find a false story due to half-heartedness.
