World Food Day is celebrated on 16 October in the world. It has been celebrated ever since the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was established in 1945. The day was organized by the members of the Food and Agriculture Organization. The whole world is crazy about food. Most of the people in India still do agriculture. Today, World Food Day is also known as Food Engineering Day.
This annual festival is celebrated in honor of the date of the establishment of the first Food and Agriculture Organization started by the United Nations. World Food Day is celebrated by many organizations such as the International Fund for Agricultural Development, World Food Program, which are involved in matters related to food security. Cases of malnutrition are increasing not only in India, but there is a need to spread awareness among the citizens. This day should be remembered to spread awareness throughout the world, so that the ever increasing cases of malnutrition can be stopped.
Also, the promotion of food security is the main reason for presenting and celebrating World Food Day. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has played an important role in making the initiative World Food Day possible and fulfilling its purpose. Since 1981, World Food Day, adopting a different theme each year, is mostly around farming and agriculture, as it is believed that only investment in agriculture with support for health and education can turn this situation around.
