Kolkata: There was a ruckus during the BJP's anti-corruption march in West Bengal. Clashes were witnessed between police and BJP workers at several places. Police detained several BJP leaders and workers, including Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, MPs Loket Chatterjee and Rahul Sinha, who were taking out the march has been taken to the police headquarters in Kolkata's Lalbazar.

Along with this, there was also a conflict between BJP and TMC workers at many places. Pictures of arson have also surfaced from some places. A police vehicle has been set on fire near Bada Bazar police station. Police also fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. In fact, the BJP had organized a march to the Secretariat in Kolkata on Tuesday. Under this, all BJP leaders and workers from all over Bengal reached Kolkata and Howrah. The BJP had called this march over corruption cases against the Mamata government. A large number of police forces have been deployed to stop the march.

Police barricaded all roads leading to the secretariat from Howrah. At the same time, there are also reports of a clash between BJP and TMC workers in East Midnapore. At the same time, BJP workers also clashed with Trinamool workers in Tamluk. Several buses carrying BJP workers to Kolkata to join the march were stopped by police in North 24 Parganas.
