Moscow: Russia and China's cooperation agreements are not aimed at world dominance, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview aired Sunday.

"When Russia and China implement bilateral agreements, they are not attempting to rule the entire world. We are aware that other countries have this tendency "Rossiya 1 television channel broadcasted what he said.

The US, according to the Kremlin official, is a destabilising force and the "source" of provocative actions.

Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum in which he emphasised that the United States' dominance in politics and economics is waning as non-western countries gain power. He noted that this process is taking place despite the "stubbornness" of Western elites who refuse to "see and recognise objective reality."
