Thiruvananthapuram:  Former Kerala minister and CPI(M) leader K T Jaleel filed a police complaint on Wednesday, June 8,  against claims made by key suspect Swapna Suresh in the trending Kerala gold smuggling case.

As per Jaleel, there is a conspiracy hatched by Swapna Suresh and Ex-MLA P.C George and Bharatiya Janata party.
"Accusations levelled against me are without merit. This is a BJP-led and UDF-led plot. They are attempting to smear the current government's image. This is something that needs to be looked into "Jaleel stated.

Swapna Suresh revealed on Tuesday that she had declared in court about chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife, and his daughter's participation in the 2020 gold smuggling case.

Swapna also claimed that she is under a life danger and has requested protection.
