As a producer, Kung Fu Yoga is the first international project of actor Sonu Sood in which Jackie Chan, Sonu Sood and Disha Patani will be seen in pivotal roles.
This is an Indo-Chinese film and already viewed by the Central Board of Film Certification on Wednesday and granted a clean chit. As per a source, "The CBFC made one verbal cut regarding a remark pertaining to Buddhism, and didn’t touch a single shot in the film.
They granted the film 'Kung Fu Yoga' a ‘U/A’ certification on Wednesday and agreed to view the film in other languages, two days later." CBFC chief, Pahlaj Nihlani appreciates the film and said, "At a time when corporate houses have taken over our movie business, it is commendable that Sonu has brought this big Jackie Chan film to India all on his own. It’s a fun film, clean and enjoyable. Jackie already has a huge fan following in India. But Sonu will have new fans in China after the film releases. We saw no reason to cut anything."
