On Sunday, Delhi led by Gambhir takes on new Kings XI Punjab under captaincy of R Ashwin. Earlier in the toss, it was King XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second game of the league. Kings XI have lost six opening matches, as have Daredevils, including five in succession since 2013. Overall, Kings XI lead the head-to-head numbers, having won 11 to Daredevils' 10, and also have 80 per cent success rate against their North Indian counterparts in Mohali.
