Popular show of TV world Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has completed 20 years. This show changed the fate of many stars. The show played a major role in establishing Producer Ekta Kapoor in the TV industry. The show ran for 8 years and 1,833 episodes were telecast. There were many such twists and turns in the serial when the audience's breath remained stagnant. Smriti Irani played the role of Tulsi in this show. But Mihir Virani's role was played by not one but three actors. Amir Upadhyay played the role of Mihir first, then Indra Kumar, and then Ronit Roy played the role of Mihir Mansukh Virani.

Amar Upadhyay was not the first choice of makers for the role of Mihir. Actor Jignesh Gandhi was cast for the role of Mihir but he was replaced before the show premiered. Subsequently, Amar and Sijen Khan were chosen. Amar Upadhyay was signed for this project. Then 1 year later, Sijen was cast by Ekta Kapoor as Anurag in his show Kasauti Zindagi Ki and this show made Amar popular from house to house.

Amar and Smriti Irani's pair were very much loved by the people but the twist in the story came when Mihir died on the show. Everyone was shocked. In the year 2002, Amar left the show and to end his role, his death was shown in the show but after the wave of grief in the audience, Mihir was introduced to the show with a new face. Indra Kumar had played Mihir but his show was a short. Later in 2003, Ronit Roy came in the serial as Mihir. By the end of the show, Ronit played the role of Mihir. The pair of Smriti and Ronit was also super hit.
