After the implementation of the lockdown, the shortage of migrant workers migrating from Delhi-NCR is hurting the farmers of Delhi. Pappan Singh, a farmer from Delhi is also among those who are troubled due to lack of migrant workers. They needed laborers to cultivate their mushrooms. To fulfill this need, Pappan Singh has booked air tickets for 20 migrant laborers. These migrant workers will soon leave from Patna Airport in Bihar to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Pappan Singh is a resident of Tigipur village of Delhi. He has not only been cultivating mushrooms for years, but the works that work in his fields have also remained the same for a decade and a half. The August season is important for mushroom cultivation, so they needed their old laborers. All these laborers had gone to their ancestral village in Bihar during lockdown and Pappan Singh wanted to bring them back to Delhi at any cost. Pappan Singh wanted to book the first train ticket for all these laborers, but there was no train ticket available for the next month and a half. Pappan Singh could not wait so long, so he has now booked an airplane ticket for 20 migrant workers.

This is not the first time Pappan Singh has booked an air ticket for a worker working in his field. Even before this, he has booked a plane ticket for the migrant worker. Actually, despite all the efforts during the lockdown, these workers were not able to go to their homes. Then Pappan Singh booked an air ticket from Delhi to Patna for 10 migrant laborers. According to Pappan Singh, he treats all the workers working in the field as members of his family. In the same spirit, he has booked air tickets for all.
