New Delhi: Politics has intensified over the Lakhimpur violence case. Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the victims' families in Lakhimpur Kheri late on Wednesday night. Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is also on his way to Lakhimpur Kheri on Thursday to meet the victim's family members along with his workers but UP police have stopped his convoy near Saharanpur. Sidhu has since been taken into custody. On the other hand, a piece of big news has come to light in the case that Uttar Pradesh police has achieved great success in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. UP police have arrested two accused.

According to UP government sources, two persons have been arrested and are being questioned in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. UP police have also recovered empty shells of bullets from the spot. Later, IG Lucknow Range Laxmi Singh issued a statement saying that two accused have been arrested in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. Ashish Mishra will also be questioned. Carnival shells have been recovered from the spot. Along with this, many important clues have been found from the spot.

Lucknow Range IG Laxmi Singh said that the incidents of firing or injuries with any weapon have not been confirmed in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, so we have to proceed with other evidence that has been given to us. Two people are being questioned. We are issuing summons to the main accused Ashish Mishra for questioning.
