Geetanjali Khanna who is ex-wife of late B- town actor Vinod Khanna, took her last breath at her Alibaug residence. She was 70  year old. she was suffering from a heart ailment. Reports suggested that  Her mortal remains were taken to the hospital for post mortem on Saturday. Her Sons Akshaye Khanna and Rahul Khanna were by her side.

"The two sons along with their mother kept visiting their farmhouse in Mandwa. Geetanjali and Akshaye came (to the hospital) around 11 on Saturday morning. It was in the afternoon when she complained of uneasiness. She was taken to a local doctor, who prescribed her some medicines,” Indian Express quoted a source as saying.

Sources also said that when Akshaye checked on her while she was asleep, her body temperature had fell down. That was time when he called up Rahul and she was rushed to the civil hospital and here Doctors declared  her dead.

According to the reports The funeral took place earlier today. Worth mention here Just last year, Vinod Khanna passed away due to an advanced stage of bladder cancer.

Notably Vinod Khanna had met Geetanjali during their college days in 1968 and They got wedded in 1971, but their marriage saw a rough patch in 1985 and they had splited.
