Australian all-rounder batsmen Shane Watson’s century was the highlight of the Chennai Super Kings’ comprehensive 64-run victory over mighty Rajasthan Royals at the MCA International Stadium in Pune. CSK score mammoth total of 204-5 while, batting first thanks to courtesy Watson’s brilliant ton, after which their lethal bowling department destroyed Royals batsmen for just 140 runs.

Aussies all-rounder Shane Watson became the second batsman to score a century in the ongoing IPL 2018 as he smashed 106 from 57 balls for Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals on thrilling Friday-night show. Just a night ago, Chris Gayle had scored the first hundred of the ongoing IPL season with magnificent 104 runs off 63 balls. But Shane Watson has made it clear who he thinks is the better man in T20 world. Watson called Caribbean heavyweight Chris Gayle -- the greatest T20 batsman in the world.

“Chris (Gayle) is the greatest T20 batsman in the world. To be able to score so many T20 hundreds. That's the reason he's called the Universe Boss. He keeps bossing attacks around the world,” said the Aussie all-rounder after Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 64 runs. Co-incidently, both Watson and Gayle were part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last season.  

Brief scores: Chennai Super Kings 204/5 in 20 overs (Shane Watson 106, Suresh Raina 46; Shreyas Gopal 3-20) beat Rajasthan Royals 140 all out in 18.3 overs (Ben Stokes 45; Karn Sharma 2-13, Shardul Thakur 2-18) by 64 runs.
