New Delhi: The launch of Chandrayaan-2 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been put on hold in the last hour. This has been done due to technical snag in the launch vehicle system of Chandrayaan-2. India's much-awaited Chandrayaan-2 was scheduled to be launched from Sriharikota at 2:51 a.m. on behalf of ISRO.

ISRO has issued an official statement informing it about its averting of its launch. ISRO said, the launch was a technical snag 1 hour before the launch. Therefore, the launch of Chandrayaan-2 has been postponed. The next date of launch will be announced soon. The countdown of mission Chandrayaan-2 was launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at 6:51 a.m. on Sunday.

The live screening of Chandrayaan-2 was stopped about 56 minutes 24 seconds before the launch of Chandrayaan-2 by ISRO. The launch was subsequently postponed. Chandrayaan-2 was to be launched by geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle-Mark 3 (GSLV-Mk3) weighing 44 metres long and 640 tonnes. The next launch date of Chandrayaan-2 has not been announced by ISRO at present.
