Shimla: A leopard took away a child playing in the courtyard of a house located in Bakhnao panchayat of Dalash area of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The matter is from last night. After this, the family members and the villagers kept searching for the child in the adjacent forest for the whole night. In the morning, the decomposed body of the child was found in the forest. According to the report, a six-year-old child playing in the courtyard of the house was abducted by a leopard in Kathla village under Bakhnaon panchayat on Monday evening at 8:00 p.m.
Village residents Devendra Kumar and his wife were preparing food in the kitchen. The kitchen is located at some distance from the house. The mother called the son and daughter to have food. The daughter reached the kitchen, but the son did not come. During this, the mother heard the cry of the son outside. Along with it came the sound of a leopard growling. When the mother immediately came out, she saw that the son was not there. The pyjamas worn by the son were lying in the courtyard of the house.
Some blood stains were also found at a distance of about 150 metres from the house. After this, a campaign was started to find the child. The villagers kept searching for the child in the forest the whole night. The decomposing body of the child was found at a distance of about 600 metres from the house at around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. There has been an atmosphere of panic among the people since the incident.
