Dumka: A shocking incident has come to light from Jharkhand. Where due to superstition, 3 women and a man were first given excreta and then their entire body was stained with hot bars. The incident took place in the Saraiyahat police station area of the Dumka district. All four victims were admitted to the hospital. Where the condition of two is said to be serious. They were referred to Deoghar for better treatment. The police have registered a case against six persons in this connection. At present, all the criminals are said to be absconding, efforts are being made to find them.

On Saturday, 55-year-old Rasi Murmu, 47-year-old Sonmuni Tudu, 45-year-old Kolo Tudu and 40-year-old Srilal Murmu of Aswari village were accused of being witches by some persons of the village. Then everyone beat them together. Then they were forced to drink excreta by filling the excreta in the bottle. Then hot bars were fired on their bodies. All four of them kept shouting loudly but no one listened to them.  

The victims told the police that they were very scared after the incident. They pleaded a lot with the criminals but they were not heard. They have also demanded strict action against the culprits. Confirming the matter, Saraiyahat police station in-charge Vinay Kumar said that some persons of the village beat up three women by calling them witches. They also gave them excreta. A written complaint has been received from Posho Tudu in this regard. Police have registered a case under Sections 445, 341, 323, 325, 307, 326A, 504, 506/3 against Sundar, Babuji, Jyotin, Mangal, Lukhiram and Tengri. The criminals are absconding since the crime, and they are being searched.
