New Delhi: The deadline for linking ration cards to Aadhaar by the government has been extended till 30 September due to global epidemic coronavirus. Under the government's 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme, rations can now be purchased from any Public Distribution System (PDS) shop in the country on ration cards. If the ration card is not linked to Aadhaar till September 30, then the card holders will not get the benefit of PDS facilities.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued clear instructions to all the states and union territories that at present, no beneficiary will be denied his ration because his ration card is not linked to Aadhaar. On this basis, no ration card will be canceled and the name of any beneficiary will not be deducted from the list. The deadline for linking ration card to Aadhaar has been extended till 30 September, if it is not linked till that time, the card holders will not get the benefit of PDS facilities.

In this way, link the ration card to Aadhaar:

1. To link ration card to Aadhaar, go to UIDAI official website uidai.gov.in.

2. Click on Start Now option.

3. After this, fill your full address.

4. Select Ration Card from the available options.

5. After this, fill your ration card number, Aadhaar number, email address and mobile number.

6. One time password (OTP) will come on your mobile number. Fill OTP. The completion notification will come on the screen.

7. After the verification of your application, the ration card will be linked to Aadhaar.
