Star footballer Lionel Messi has had flu-like symptoms for the past two days due to which he cannot play for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the French league match in Monaco. His club recently gave this information. Messi, who joined PSG last summer, appeared to be struggling in the first season of the French league. Before the Match of Monaco, Messi gave away only 7 goals in 26 matches in all competitions. In the last season, he scored 38 goals with Barcelona.

Apart from them, PSG can also not get the services of Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos, Angel Di Maria, Juan Bernat, Levine Kurzawa and Ender Herrera. PSG is gearing up in its pursuit of a record-equalling 10th French league title and has taken a 15-point lead at the top of the table at the moment.  

Earlier, in The League-1 of France, Paris St Germain (PSG) had defeated St. Etienne 3-1 with the help of 2 goals from Kylian Mbappe, although the team was trailing by one goal in the beginning when Dennis Boanga of St. Etienne scored in the 16th minute as well. After which Mbappe (42nd, 47th minute) scored 2 goals within 5 minutes to give PSG a 2-1 lead. After which Danilo Pereira made scored 3-1 in the 52nd minute.

Messi's important role: PSG star Lionel Messi has also played the role of an assistant in scoring 2 goals. So far he has played a role in ten goals. Messi also took a free-kick which was stopped by the goalkeeper. With this win, PSG had managed to take a strong 16-point lead over second-placed Nice.
