Barcelona: Star footballer Lionel Messi of Spanish club FC Barcelona will be out for the next few matches due to a foot injury. However, till now it has not been told how long he will be fully healthy. Messi was injured during the last Spanish League (La-Liga) match against Villarreal. Barcelona won 2–1 in the match.

The club said in a statement that, "Leo Messi has an injury to his left leg. He will stay out and his return to the field will depend on his injury." Messi played only 45 minutes in the match played on Tuesday. He was injured once before the start of 2019-20 season and returned to the team after a few matches. Messi also gave an assist before going out of the field against Villarreal.

Earlier, he was awarded the 'FIFA Men's Player of the Year' on Monday. Let me tell you that Argentine player Messi has received the award for the best player in the world for the sixth time. The award ceremony was held in Milan. In the race for the best football player's trophy, star player Cristiano Ronaldo of Football Club Yuventus and Virgil van Dyk of Liverpool were also in the name of Messi.
