The 16th death due to corona infection in Punjab. ACP North of Ludhiana, suffering from the epidemic, succumbed on Saturday. The deceased ACP was admitted to DMC Ludhiana  and was on ventilator. He was preparing to do plasma therapy, but he died before that. ACP had an infection while on duty in Mandi. On April 13, he was admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated. The wife, police station in-charge, constable and district mandi officer were also positive.

Four infected Corona cases were reported on Friday. All four are in contact with infected ACP North. This includes ACP's wife, Thane Jodhewal in-charge, a constable and district mandi officer.
