Indian pregnant woman can return to India soon, government says this in SC

On Tuesday, the central government told the Supreme Court that it was fully helping a pregnant woman trapped in the US due to the lockdown, so that she, along with her husband and young child, returned from a scheduled San Francisco-Bengaluru flight on Wednesday to India. Justice L. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said this before a bench headed by Nageswara Rao.

The bench was hearing the petition of the Bangalore resident couple, in which they have requested to instruct the central government to arrange to bring them to India on Wednesday's flight or as soon as possible.

Lockdown will continue after May 17 with new rules

Mehta said that all efforts are being made keeping in mind the health of the woman that she and her family members can be brought to India by Wednesday's flight. The bench ended the petition saying that no order is needed on it now.
