The lockdown period was extended to prevent corona outbreaks. The industrialists running the export unit of Indore have asked the administration to issue permission to start the factory as soon as possible. This demand has arisen in the meeting of 15 prominent industrialists with the officials. One industrialist said that the summer season has arrived in Europe. Our goods are ready, if the goods are not sent now, one year of business will be wasted. Industrialists have also sought permission from the administration to bring the trapped workers in other districts and divisions to Indore. The administration has agreed to give phased permission to 30-30 industries. However, the industrialist is not happy with this number.

Prateek Bhai Patel of Jash Engineering, who is running a factory in the US including Indore, told the collector that if permission is not issued soon, crores will be lost. The goods worth 13 crores are ready in our factory for the old order which was to be supplied, but is stuck due to the lockdown. He said that we also have a factory on Saver Road along Pithampur SEZ. All are connected to each other, so allowing one plant will not work. He told the officials that we are ready to keep the workers in the factory but you wonder if the supervisor will be able to leave the house and stay there with them. The administration should understand the practical problems and take decisions. We are ready to take all security related measures.
