Agra: The number of positive patients of coronavirus infection is increasing continuously in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Taking action on this, the Yogi government of the state has removed the Chief Medical Officer and Additional Director Medical and Family Welfare of Agra with immediate effect from his post. On the instructions of CA Yogi, it has been decided to send 5 officers to Agra on Sunday.

Doctor R. C. Pandey has been made the CMO of Agra, while the current CMO of Agra, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Vats has been associated with the District Magistrate Office. Similarly, Additional Director Medical Health and Family Welfare of Agra, Dr. A. K. Mittal has been associated with the Mandalayukta office, while Dr. Avinash Singh has been appointed in his place. Both the removed officers are retiring in June.

On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, 5 officers have been sent to Agra to control the situation. These include the names of Alok Kumar (Principal Secretary Industrial Development), Rajneesh Dubey (Principal Secretary, Medical Education), Vijay Prakash (IG), Avinash Kumar (Additional Director Level) and Professor Alok Nath (Pluminary Department, SGPGI).
