The government is extending the time since Friday to purchase essential items in the lockdown. With this, today, the public can leave the house from 7 am to 1 am to buy essential goods, but there will be a complete ban on four-wheeler private vehicles (except essential services). With this, only one person (rider) can leave on two-wheelers. The government is doing this experiment only for Fridays. If the system is good then it can be continued further.
A meeting of high officials was held late in the evening on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. In this meeting, the Chief Minister took many important decisions, along with the time has been extended from 7 am to 10 am for the purchase of essential items to the public during lockdown. Along with this, a total ban has been imposed on four-wheelers during this period, but four-wheelers engaged in essential services will be able to run. At the meeting, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, DGP Anil Kumar Raturi, Secretary Nitesh Jha, Amit Negi and Sushil Kumar were present.
There are provisions in the new system
- Vegetable bags can go to the mohallas during this time
- Supply of milk will be smooth throughout the day
- Complete ban on operation of four wheeler private vehicles
- Factories related to food processing will continue
- Small dough mills are allowed to open
- Wholesale ration supply can be done throughout the day
It was coming out in the fixed arrangement for the purchase of essential commodities that due to less time, there is more crowd in the market. At the same time, the police was facing problems in maintaining social distancing. We have extended the time for one day to three hours. Some conditions are imposed with it. If it is properly followed, it will be continued.
