Ranchi: The new variant of Corona, Omikron, has hit India. It is expected to happen in many States here. Amidst all this, a screenshot of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's official Twitter account went viral on social media last Saturday. In fact, in this screenshot, Hemant Soren had issued a message to the citizens of the state saying, "My Jharkhandites, all of you will know that a deadly variant has come, called Omicron.

 

 

Jharkhand is going to have a lockdown for the safety of all of you. Schools, colleges, religious places will all remain closed and all exams will be cancelled. If you want to go for the necessary work, you will get an e-pass. As soon as the screenshot went viral, there was a stir among the top officials of the state. Shortly thereafter, a statement was issued by the CMO stating, "This screenshot going viral on social media is fake. At the same time, instructions have been issued to the police officials to take strict action against anyone who spread the rumour through this screenshot.''

A statement was also issued by the Chief Minister's Office on Twitter in the matter stating that the screenshot was fake. A suspected patient of the new variant of Corona Omicron has been found in Ranchi. It is being said that this patient is admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi and the sample of this patient has been sent to Bhubaneswar for genome sequencing. At the same time, there is also news that according to the Civil Surgeon of Ranchi, the suspected patient does not have a travel history.
