Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court has made a statement last Friday demanding cow protection as part of the Fundamental Rights of the Hindu community. It says, "Parliament should bring a law to give 'national honour' to Gita and its creator Maharshi Ved Vyas besides Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Ramayana and its creator Valmiki.'' In fact, Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav of the High Court made the remarks.

He said, "The Constitution allows someone to be an atheist, but that does not mean that one can make obscene remarks against gods and goddesses.'' As part of the information received, the Justice made the remarks while granting bail application to Akash Jatav of Hathras. In fact, the accused is accused of sharing objectionable pictures of Hindu deities on social media, which was arrested on January 4. In the bail order, the court also said, "There is a need to educate children on this issue and educate children about Indian culture by making it a compulsory subject in all schools in the country.''

The court also said, "Instead of making obscene remarks on such issues, the deities and culture of the country in which he lives should be respected.'' Last September, Justice Yadav had demanded that the government should declare cows as national animals and their protection should be part of the fundamental rights of the Hindu community. At the same time, he made the remarks while refusing to grant bail to a person accused of cow slaughter. In fact, In his 12-page order, Justice Yadav also said, "Scientists believe that a cow is the only animal that takes in and releases oxygen.''
