Nanded: Politics is intensifying in Maharashtra regarding playing loudspeakers at the mosque. On the other hand, Barad Gram Panchayat of Mudkhed tehsil of Nanded district has banned playing of loudspeakers in Mandir-Masjid-Buddha Vihar 5 years ago without any problem and without any dispute. Means Barad is such a village, where loudspeaker does not play.

The Barad Gram Panchayat of Nanded district has set a new example regarding religious unity. Barad village is a happy and economically prosperous village, where new records are being made every year in the production of bananas, sugarcane along with vegetables and flowers. Surrounded by banana plantations and sugarcane fields, the population of this village is about 15 thousand. In the same Barad village, people of all castes and religions have been living together.

There are 15 Hindu temples, Buddhist Viharas, Jain temples and mosques in this village. In 2018, the whole village was suffering from noise pollution due to the loudspeakers playing for 24 hours at all religious places, so the playing of loudspeakers in all religious places of the village was banned. Its positive results are visible today. The followers of all the communities, who glorify the tehzeeb of Ganga Jamuna, have set a unique example of religious unity. Be it Maulvi Mohammad Raza of Jama Masjid here or Balasaheb Deshmukh, Sarpanch of the village, all are happy with the decision of the village.
