Sheohar: A couple was married at a police station in Bihar's Sheohar district. In this marriage, the policemen present in the police station played the role of Barati and Gharati. The girl, Priya Kumari, a resident of Kushahar in the Tariani police station area, got acquainted with Suraj Kumar, a resident of Paharpur village under the Shyampur Bhatha police station area, met through social media. The two gave each other their mobile numbers and started a conversation. Gradually, this friendship turned into love. Then both of them decided to get married.
The same loving couple knew that their family would not be ready for marriage. So they eloped and got married. When the news of this came to their family, an attempt was made to separate the two. The girl's family lodged a complaint against the boyfriend for taking away the daughter. When the police started investigating the case, it was found that both were adults. After a long-running love affair, both of them married. During interrogation, the couple told the police that they wanted to live together. But their family members are not ready to embrace their relationship. Then the police station in-charge Vijay Kumar Yadav arranged for the marriage of both of them in the police station. They called the families of both of them and explained.
After the approval of both the parties, the local chief and other public representatives got married again on the police station premises on Wednesday with full customs. The role of the girl's side was played by the police station president and from the boy's side, the local chief performed the rituals. The SHO said, "The family members were called to the police station and explained and with their approval, the marriage of both of them was done in the Shiva temple of the police station premises. The loving couple looked very happy with this."
