Mumbai (Maharashtra): Fans anticipating Ekta Kapoor's latest drama, 'Love, Sex, and Betrayal 2,' will have to wait a bit longer as the film's release has been pushed back to April. Initially slated for February 16, the filmmakers have now unveiled a new release date.
Balaji Motion Pictures took to Instagram to announce the delay along with a motion poster, revealing that the movie will now hit theaters on April 19. Earlier, producer Ekta Kapoor had teased fans with the poster of 'Love, Sex, and Betrayal 2' on Instagram, stating, "Who needs roses and chocolates when you can have likes and reposts? Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, 'LSD 2' aims to tackle the nuances of our digitally-driven society, as depicted in its thought-provoking poster showing a couple caught between intimate connection and technological detachment.
The sequel was announced by Ekta and Dibakar in 2021 but faced delays. However, the team is now gearing up to commence filming soon.
'Love Sex Aur Dhokha,' released in 2010, was directed by Dibakar Banerjee and featured Rajkummar Rao, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha, and Nushrratt Bharuccha in pivotal roles.
Earlier, Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee had visited the 'Bigg Boss 16' house to cast for the sequel, and reportedly, contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has been selected as the leading lady.
