Lucknow: A new initiative has been launched in Uttar Pradesh amid the growing outbreak of corona. District Collector Lucknow has launched the initiative on the directions of state CM Yogi Adityanath. Chetak teams have been formed for testing, tracking and treatment of patients in villages. These chetak teams will cover every home isolated patient by bike.

The Lucknow administration claims that 'Chetak teams' will reach you before ambulances. Chetak teams will deliver medicines to patients' homes. Static teams have been formed for testing. Chetak teams have been formed for testing, tracking and treatment in rural areas. At the same time, surveillance teams were formed in the villages, which will share feedback as well as medicines. Meanwhile, the Yogi government has claimed that 2.5 lakh people have been tested for corona within a week in rural areas of the state. Covid surveillance teams in Uttar Pradesh visited more than 30 million houses at block level in districts and tested more than 2.5 lakh people in a week.

The UP government had yesterday claimed that surveillance teams have launched door-to-door operations in rural areas. According to its weekly report, corona testing teams have visited about 32 million (3,19,37,797) homes in different blocks of districts within a week between May 5 and 12 against the targeted 330,69,010.
