Let us tell you all that Maya Govind, who has been embroiled in controversy for a long time over the song 'Gutur Gutur' from the film 'Dalal,' breathed her last in the lap of her son Ajay at the age of 82. In fact, after a long treatment in the hospital, Maya Govind was brought home by her son Ajay in February. Ajay says that she died today i.e. Thursday around 9.30 am and the last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu at around 4 pm.

Let us tell you all that Maya Govind, who was born in Lucknow, was a master of Kathak and as an actress, she also made her name on the screen and on stage and won all the awards. The most famous actress and dancer Hema Malini's dance ballet 'Meera' is written by her. Born on January 17, 1940, in Lucknow, Maya Govind did her B.Ed. after her graduation. Her family wanted her to become a teacher but she was more interested in acting and theatre. However, Maya, who was a disciple of Shambhu Maharaj, practised Kathak a lot.

Along with this, he also did a four-year course in singing from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow. At the same time, she has been a category A artist on All India Radio. With this, in the year 1970, Sangeet Natak Akademi Lucknow awarded her Best Acting award in the Hindi version of Vijay Tendulkar's play 'Khamosh! Adalat Zaari Hai.' After that, she also came first in the All India Drama Competition held in Delhi. She also acted in the film 'Tohfa Mohabbat Ka.'

This act changed her world and after that Maya Govind, who started her career as a lyricist in the year 1972, wrote songs in about 350 films.
