Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a direction to the state government to provide information on the number of patients suffering from black fungus and white fungus infection and other such diseases in the state. In a statement issued last Thursday, Nyaya Mitra and senior advocate Naman Nagarath said, "In its order passed on August 10, the High Court has directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the State Health Department to submit information in this regard by September 6.''
Under the information received, a bench of Chief Justice Mohammad Rafique and Justice VK Shukla said, "We direct the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Medical and Health, Government of Madhya Pradesh to give accurate information about the number of patients of black fungus, white fungus or any other similar disease in the state.'' At the same time, Nagarath also said, "The High Court also directed the authorities to ensure that all such patients in the state are provided with amphotericin B injections and other medicines prescribed by the doctors so that no patient suffers due to shortage of medicines.''
Let me tell all of you that the Madhya Pradesh High Court had earlier emphasized avoiding local body elections through a PIL. Now the result has been better. The Election Commission itself has given an undertaking that local body elections are not being held at present. It is being said that unless the apprehension of the third wave of covid is eliminated, there is no question of local body elections. Similarly, when the situation becomes normal, local body elections will be conducted by ensuring strict security.
