Bhopal: During the Ganpati immersion in Madhya Pradesh, a big accident has been reported. A boat capsized during immersion in the state capital Bhopal. In this accident, 11 people lost their lives, while the five missing people were saved safely. This accident happened at Khatlapura Ghat in Bhopal's famous small lake.

This accident took place near Khatlapura Ghat at 4:30 in the morning. State Public Relations Minister PC Sharma said that the incident will be investigated. He said that the families of the deceased would be given four lakh rupees as compensation from the state government.

Actually, the boat in which the statue was taken to the lake to immerse, the boat was very small while the statue was very big. The boat tilted to one side while overtaking it for immersion and overturned. During this time, the people in the boat came under the idol. The bodies of 11 people have been recovered so far. The search for the remaining missing people continues.

As soon as the incident was reported, the SDRF team along with the local administration also reached the spot and engaged in rescuing the people. The people who died were residents of 1100 quarters of Piplani. On receiving the information of the incident, the administration reached the spot and started the relief and rescue operations.
