Indore: In Indore, with the Lok Sabha Election 2024 on the horizon, political parties have begun reaching out to the public through various means. One distinctive approach has emerged in Madhya Pradesh, where the state's Congress unit has kicked off the 'One note-one vote' campaign. This initiative aims to gather donations to support the party's participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The party has highlighted the freezing of its bank accounts by the Central Government as a major obstacle, alleging that it has left them financially strained.

Jitu Patwari, the President of Madhya Pradesh Congress, has accused the government of deliberately targeting the party by freezing its accounts after the Model Code of Conduct came into effect. Following the state's Assembly elections, Congress underwent restructuring, appointing Patwari as the new president. Known for his close ties to Rahul Gandhi, Patwari is regarded as a key figure within the party's leadership.

The Madhya Pradesh Congress officially launched the One Note-One Vote campaign at the Roshanpura intersection in Bhopal. During this campaign, candidates like Arun Srivastava from Bhopal and Dinesh Yadav from Jabalpur were spotted carrying collection boxes, urging individuals to contribute one rupee each, symbolizing the importance of every vote. Candidates from other constituencies across Madhya Pradesh also actively participated in this grassroots initiative.
